Childrens website www.bekijkhetmaar.nu receives international recognition

Kijkwijzer’s children’s website, www.bekijkhetmaar.nu, has been honoured in Germany with the Comenius EduMedia Seal of Approval. The website received this accolade for its
‘exceptional didactic and media quality’. The Comenius EduMedia Awards are presented every year by an international jury of media experts. This year, the jury examined 170 European multimedia projects for children. NICAM accepted the award last Friday, June 8th, in Berlin.
The website www.bekijkhetmaar.nu was launched in December to coincide with the fifth anniversary of Kijkwijzer. The site caters for children aged 7 to 12 years and was created with support from the Dutch Ministry of Justice. Since its launch, the site has attracted 100,000 unique visitors.
